Canto of the Pilgrims
in Medieval Europe

“Polorum Regina? is a project of union of the towns through the pilgrimages. With its central axis in the music of Libro Vermell de Monserrat, manuscript of the century XIV, that is in the Abbey of Monserrat (Barcelona), and that picks up the songs that used the pilgrims when they got at the abbey after its pilgrimage to see the Virgin of Monserrat, and the Laudario I gave Bobbio, Italian manuscript of century XIV.

A Feminine Glance

2016 are the date in which they are fulfilled 100 years of the death of the Spanish musician Enrique Granados in an unfortunate accident on board a British boat in the English Channel when this one was torpedoed by a German submarine the 24 of March of 1916.  Seeded it studied among others with Juan Baptista Pujol and Felipe Pedrell, father of Spanish musicology.

Between his works it emphasizes clearly the series In the style of Goya. Seeded he was enamoring with the baroque Spanish of century XVIII, of his lights, his shades and their sounds.

She is known by all that the women throughout the history of music have undergone a considerable forgetfulness. With this program “Or Clarissima Mater: Feminine convents, Nuns Composers?, dedicated to women composers completely, DeMusica Ensemble we want to rescue this repertoire, that sometimes it was hidden during centuries between the walls of some convents.

Very especially this year 2015 in which the Centennial V of the birth of Teresa de ?vila is celebrated, Santa Teresa de Jesús. Woman fighter, untiring, artist and poet. We thus want to make a small tribute to its figure and all the women who as her, caused that their voices were heard through their art.

Musics of El Greco

This program is a tribute to the figure of El Greco since in 2014 Centenary of the death of the famous painter is marked IV. It tries to recreate the sonorous surroundings of the artist, from Byzantine melodies of s.IX, making reference to his Greek origin, Italian music of the s. XVI, since it finally spent one season in Venice and music of the great polifonistas of the century of Spanish Gold that recall their long years of stay in Toledo.
